The townhome community where Kevin lives needed a small, user-friendly social network where they could post a little blurb about the community along with the bylaws and covenants, maintain an events calendar, catalog board meeting minutes, and host a forum for the community residents to converse with each other.
The residents can browse upcoming community-related events and export each one to iCal or Sunbird for a reminder. They can get creative with their member profiles, post messages to the forum and engage in threaded conversations, and simply private message each other for all those conversations not meant for prying eyes.
The backend is ingeniously built with ExpressionEngine, so its easy for the community's board members to add their meeting minutes, update the "About the Row" information page, and moderate the forum topics.
